Gaining a Driving License

In Pakistan, driver licenses are issued through the Pakistan Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), operating under its “Driver Licensing Authority” (DLA). DLA issues both permanent driving licenses as well as learner permits in all categories.

To obtain a learner’s permit, an applicant must submit an application form, two passport-size photos, a copy of his/her CNIC, as well as medical certification documents and pay an application fee of 100 PKR [approximately C$1.25].
